Delaware Nation set to hold Remembrance Day Ceremony

The Delaware Nation has more than 116 veterans dating back to the First World War. All of whom will be remembered in the community’s annual Remembrance Day Ceremony, being held tomorrow, November 11th.

Chief Greg Peters and members of the Delaware Nation will welcome area school children who will travel to the community to observe the event.

The ceremony begins at 12:30am, at the Cenotaph located at the corner of Centre Road and School House Line.

Note: As the Delaware Nation observes Remembrance Day as a holiday, all Nation offices and services are closed November 11, 2014. Offices will resume regular business hours, beginning at 8:30am on Wednesday, November 12, 2014.

The following is a list of Delaware Nation War Veterans, as documented by the Nation’s historian.
