Eenda Akehkiimund Delaware Employment and Training Centre
The goal of the Eenda Akehkiimund Delaware Employment and Training Centre is to take a holistic approach to creating and developing viable business solutions which utilize our Nation’s members and resources to create a strong economic foundation for our present and future generations. The Delaware Nation is committed to generating employment and training opportunities to sustain the Nation and our people to achieve economic self reliance, while maintaining our cultural identity.
The Aboriginal Skills and Employment and Training Strategy (ASETS) is the successor program to the Aboriginal Human Resource Development Agreement (AHRDA). The ASETS agreement is in effect October 1, 2010 to March 31 2015.
The ASETS Employment and Training program provides programs and services to all Delaware Nation members within their employable population (age 15-65) living on or off-reserve.
The Delaware Nation Employment & Training Centre has the following self-serve options available:
- 10 computer work stations(labs) equipped with internet
- access to Microsoft Office 2010
- access to a printer and fax machine
- a Job Board for current employment listings
- a telephone for employment or school related purposes.
Individuals and/or institutions seeking financial assistance for employment-related requests and/or training MUST have pre-approval prior to starting employment and/or training from the Delaware Nation Employment & Training Department.
